Before it removes anything, Plume counts every comment, highlight, sticky note and drawing in your PDF, then clears just the ones you pick. Your hyperlinks and form fields stay put unless you say otherwise. It's lossless, so the underlying text stays selectable, and it deletes the objects instead of hiding them, which is why the cleaned file usually comes out smaller.
